Yang Yang is a licensed Acupuncturist and Heirbalist in the state of New Jersey and grew up in Chengdu, Sichuan province, China. Sichuan province is famous for the Huo Shen school which is why she grew up with this branch of Chinese medicine. After she graduated from Southern University of Finance and Economics with a Master’s degree in Management, she moved to the United States. Inspired by her childhood experience and passions for traditional medicine, she decided to become a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner. She went to Pacific College of Health and Science to systematically study Chinese medicine. Each year, she went back to China to learn more needle techniques. Yang Yang is also a certified Chinese language teacher and has been a teacher of traditional Chinese music in Huaxia Chinese school since 2016.
She believes Chinese medicine treats the whole body physically and emotionally. She feels there are many chronic illnesses and autoimmune diseases that are manifested as physical disorders but they are truly associated and caused by emotional disturbances. She feels the healing process is a multidisciplinary approach that includes physical correction with emotional adjustment. Combining acupuncture and herbal formulas, she has successfully treated patients with emotional, digestive, and gynecological disorders along with back pain and shoulder pain. Yang Yang is excited to join Thompson Healthcare & Sports Medicine with their excellent multidisciplinary medical team to continue to help patients get out of pain. Yang Yang loves to keep up and read classical Chinese medicine textbooks and apply those ancient wisdoms into her practice. She is willing to continue to dedicate her whole life to Chinese medicine and hopes to help as many patients as possible. In her off time, she likes to play traditional instruments, observe the four seasons change, reading, and making seasonal recipes to nourish life.
