Tara Nuzzo

Tara Nuzzo grew up in Mahwah, NJ where she began participating in sports at a very young age. Tara has a passion for athletics, as well as a passion for assisting others in reaching their individualized goals. Tara obtained her bachelor’s degree in General Psychology from Arcadia University in 2014 where she was also a collegiate athlete and captain of their MAC Division 3 swim team. She was named First-Team- All-Conference as well as Arcadia University’s Athlete of the Year in 2013 and 2014. Following the completion of her undergraduate studies, she then studied at Bay Path University where she earned her master’s of Occupational Therapy degree in 2017. Since graduation, Tara has worked as a licensed occupational therapist with patients of all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. She is a certified Dementia Practitioner and has a special interest in the rehabilitation of shoulder impairments and injuries. Tara is excited to be a part of the Thompson Healthcare & Sports Medicine team where she plans to continue to use and share her passion for athletics, health, wellness, and innovative rehabilitation strategies. In her free time, she enjoys living an active lifestyle by swimming, biking, running, going to the beach with close family and friends, and spending time with her small rescue dog, Ellie.
