Sam Shen, L.Ac, is a licensed acupuncturist in New Jersey and New York. He is from Taiwan where he was influenced with abundant Chinese medicine knowledge and environment. He moved to Bloomington, MN in 2013 for his Chinese medicine study and graduated from Northwestern Health and Sciences University with a Masters of Chinese Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2016. Sam began his acupuncturist career in Gramercy Park and Chinatown in New York City. He joins the Thompson Healthcare family in the summer of 2018.
Sam completed his continue education study with Dr. Huan Ma, the renowned specialist in pain management in Minneapolis where he learned to treat various musculoskeletal issues with acupuncture, cupping and Chinese style massage. His experience also includes serving in the Orthopedics Department of the University of Minnesota Medical Center West Bank and Masonic Children’s Hospital.
Prior to his acupuncture career, Sam served in the Army in the tank company. He loves traveling, studying, and visiting friends during his time off.
