Marissa Manera is a board certified & licensed occupational therapist originally from Washington Township in South Jersey and now resides in Atlantic County, New Jersey. She attended Stockton University and graduated with a bachelor's in Health Sciences in 2017. She went on to attend Bay Path University in Longmeadow, Massachusetts and graduated with a master's in Occupational Therapy in 2021. She took the opportunity to relocate to Virginia Beach in 2021 to begin her career as an occupational therapist. She has experience working in an outpatient setting with orthopedic and neurological conditions as well as pediatrics. Marissa has now returned to reside in New Jersey to be closer to family, friends, and the Jersey Shore.
Marissa is very excited to be a part of Thompson Healthcare & Sports Medicine to expand upon her clinical skills and work with a team of various healthcare practitioners. Marissa mentioned, “Teamwork is an integral part of healthcare and Thompson provides a multidisciplinary approach to allow patients to recover and get back to the things that they love to do. As an occupational therapist, I believe that it is most important to center my treatment around the patient’s meaningful occupations.” In her spare time, Marissa loves to go to the beach and surf, run, spend time with family and friends and cheer on Philadelphia sports teams.
