Kathleen-Megan Sova (Katie) attended Saint John Vianney High School in Holmdel, NJ where she played varsity soccer for 4 years, being the captain of the team for 2 of them. She then attended Belmont University in Nashville, TN on a D1 soccer scholarship. Due to an illness in the family, she returned home to NJ and received a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in music from Rutgers University. After teaching swim and water aerobics for numerous years, Katie decided to go back to school to be an Occupational Therapist. She graduated from Stockton with her B.S. in Public Health and continued her education graduating with her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Stockton University. She spent 10 months in Roswell, NM on a travel contract as an early Intervention Occupational Therapist. When she returned home, Katie worked in home care to treat older adults and children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is excited to join the Thompson Healthcare & Sports Medicine team to help patients participate independently in everyday activities, social participation, and play activities. In her spare time, Katie enjoys crafting, swimming, and spending time with family.
