Originally from Lambertville, NJ, Joanne Parker has been practicing acupuncture and Herbal Medicine since 2002. She received her undergraduate degree in English literature and music from the University of Vermont. She then went on to teach English as a Second Language on the West Coast before moving to Java, Indonesia where she lived for four years teaching English and studying a healing martial art. It was there that she became fascinated with Chinese Medicine and upon returning to the United States, she attended Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York where she received her Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine. She ran her own private practice specializing in pain and anxiety and then went on to work for eight years in an acupuncture clinic specializing in fertility and women's issues. Joanne has been certified in life coaching since 2004 and this helps her communicate with patients to help them heal.
She lives on a farm with her husband, kids, and many animals and in her free time plays the saxophone, guitar and writes songs.
