Dr. Mitch Altamura

Dr. Mitch Altamura is an Ocean County, New Jersey native. He graduated from William Paterson University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a focus in Kinesiology. During and after completing his undergraduate studies, he worked as both a physical therapist aide and eventually a chiropractic assistant for Thompson Healthcare & Sports Medicine where he developed his passion for the chiropractic field. He enrolled in New York Chiropractic College (now known as Northeast College of Health Sciences) and completed his Doctorate of Chiropractic, graduating with honors, in the spring of 2023. Dr. Mitch is a life-long practitioner of martial arts which he attributes to his first introduction of his fascination with the human body. He also enjoys cycling and running and served as an assistant track coach for Brick Township High School’s boys and girls team where he specialized in working with sprinters and jumpers. Dr. Mitch uses his experience with a variety of different types of athletes to help understand the human body and incorporate that knowledge into creating individualized, patient-centered treatment plans. Dr. Mitch enjoys using a range of treatments, including soft tissue massage (both manual and instrument-assisted), osseous adjusting, cupping, electronic stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound, and various other evidence-based modalities. Dr. Mitch is excited to use his specialization in chiropractic and sports rehabilitation to address a wide range of musculoskeletal issues enabling patients to regain optimal functionality and lead happier, healthier, and pain-free lives.
