John T. Barry, PT, was born and raised in Monmouth County, NJ. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey with a Minor in Holistic Health. John received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2013 where he was the recipient of the Barabara Adams Fellow Award for his leadership and service to the profession. John spent his early professional years on acute care rotations at a Level 1 Trauma center in Boston, MA, developing an understanding of complex medical management and working in an interdisciplinary environment. John developed a passion for complex orthopedic management and moved to Philadelphia, PA to continue his training at Good Shepherd Penn Partners, where he completed an Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency in 2017. John has been an APTA Clinical Instructor since 2015 and an adjunct faculty member at the University of the Sciences and the Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA for over 5 years. John has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2009 and has contributed to original research and publications at local, national and international levels. He currently resides in central New Jersey and enjoys spending time with family and exploring the National Park System.
