Denise Pirchio

Denise Pirchio is a 2021 graduate of Rutgers School of Health Professionals where she graduated Cum Laude from the Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Denise has clinical experience in Early Intervention, school-based Occupational Therapy and outpatient rehabilitation. Denise grew up in rural Pennsylvania and moved to Beach Haven West in 1991. After raising a family, she decided that she wanted to go back to school to pursue her passion for helping others. Through a “Displaced Homemaker” program at Ocean County College, she attended a workshop focusing on future in demand jobs where she was introduced to Occupational Therapy. Through a joint program with Rutgers, she attended Ocean County College to complete her prerequisite classes needed to then apply to Rutgers. Denise is excited to join the Thompson Healthcare & Sports Medicine team to expand on her knowledge in Occupational Therapy and bring the unique skill set which Occupational Therapy practitioners possess to the team. Denise looks forward to joining a multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients will continue to get the best care possible by using a patient centered approach to improve their quality of life and participation in activities of daily living. Denise is a mother of two teenage boys and when not at work, enjoys attending their sporting events, gardening, exploring NJ, and spending time with family and friends.
