Ashley Gelenites OTR/L is from Manahawkin, NJ. She attended Stockton University in Galloway, New Jersey to obtain her Bachelor’s of Science in May 2019. Before graduating from school, she worked as an ABA therapist to enhance her knowledge of the autism population. She then went on to obtain her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in January 2023. Ashley had completed one fieldwork rotation in a skilled nursing facility where she expanded her skills in working with older adults and creating therapeutic relationships with her patients all while increasing her passion for working with musculoskeletal conditions. She then also completed her last fieldwork rotation in a public school setting where she enhanced her play-based therapy skills and passion for advocating for individuals with disabilities. Ashley is excited about beginning her career and working on such a strong multidisciplinary team at Thompson Healthcare & Sports Medicine. She is looking forward to helping patients reduce their pain so they can participate in meaningful activities throughout their daily lives. In her free time, Ashley enjoys traveling, going to the beach and spending time with her friends and family.
