Melissa Rose Bardachino grew up in central New Jersey and has lived in many different places but now finds herself back in the Garden State. Her extensive professional background includes 18 years of experience as a massage therapist and 2 years as an esthetician and spa therapist. Her massage therapy and skincare studies have brought her to Florida, California, Hawaii, and Oxford, England. She has worked in various settings in the U.S., Caribbean, and Mediterranean including wellness centers, day spas, resorts, and cruise ships. She carries a bachelor's of science degree in alternative medicine from Everglades University in Sarasota, FL where she graduated as class valedictorian and also has a master's of science degree in acupuncture from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, CO. Additionally, she completed an alignment-based yoga teacher training in Costa Rica and continues to advance her knowledge through various continuing education courses. Melissa Rose is excited to be a part of the growing field of acupuncture and Thompson Healthcare & Sports Medicine. She greatly supports our multidisciplinary model and believes that this cooperative approach is the wave of the future! As a practitioner, Melissa Rose has an eclectic approach that utilizes both traditional and contemporary forms of medicine including Chinese and Japanese acupuncture, Five Element, Extraordinary Vessels, and Trigger Point acupuncture as well as the integration of various mind body practices and chakra balancing. She strives to provide high quality patient care which results in pain relief, wellbeing, and healing. She especially enjoys treating stress and anxiety, mind-body-spirit integration, pain management and emotional wellness while emphasizing patient education and the importance of self-care practices. Her lifelong background in dance and movement, as both student and teacher, in combination with a personal yoga and meditation practice have further influenced her comprehensive treatment style. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her dog named Frodo, dancing, traveling, spending time outdoors, singing, hand drumming, gardening, reading, mountain biking, snowboarding, and spending quality time with family and friends.
