Dr. Taher Abouelleil, PT, DPT, is a physical therapist at Thompson Healthcare & Sports Medicine. He began his career as a personal trainer and found that he loves helping others achieve their goals. He received his Bachelors of Science and his Doctorate in physical therapy in 2010 from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. He moved to Piscataway, NJ after marrying his wife, Sheren, and began a career that included several areas of physical therapy including pediatric, geriatric and cardiac PT. He specializes in prescription exercise and athletic training. He uses techniques such as ROLFing and deep tissue approaches that aggressively targets areas of treatment. He has several years experience using Kinesio-tape that is widely used with Olympic athletes. During his free time that isn’t used on his sweet 4-year old, Zayna and beautiful wife, Sheren, he enjoys working out and training for his football leagues.
