Daniel Yoo, MB, MSTOM, L.Ac. is a New York City native and a 4th generation acupuncturist currently licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey He graduated with a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 2015. Prior to acupuncture school, Daniel attended SUNY Binghamton and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 2004 and from the University of Pennsylvania with a Masters of Biotechnology in 2008. Because of his interest in scientific research, he spent years conducting both bench research and clinical trials at various hospitals and universities on cellular aging, cancer vaccines, stem cells, and anesthesiology. In 2016, Daniel joined Thompson Healthcare & Sports Medicine after working in New York City at a multi-disciplinary integrative pain clinic specializing in personal injury cases. This is where he was first exposed to integrative medicine and advocates for its approaches to improve patient care. Currently, Daniel’s interest is in pain management and internal medicine disorders and treats using Japanese and Chinese styles of acupuncture. When he is not working, Daniel enjoys practicing Taekwondo, reading, and watching movies.
